Community Choir’s Informed Design
Bucks County Choral Society (BCCS) performs outstanding choral music to enrich the community with song. A fixture in the community since 1973, BCCS attracts stellar talent from around the region. Collaboration with other choirs in the area and around the world keeps their repertoire fresh and engaging.
History
After briefly working together with a mutual client, the Executive Director of the Choral Society reached out to Pritchard Design to design materials for their season’s programming. We met with primary stakeholders to learn more about the choir, their creative vision, details about the upcoming season.
research
Pritchard Design researched the backgrounds and stories behind the works planned, then created stylized visuals to illustrate each story. Expressing the emotion behind the concerts lets viewers get a sense of the experience that awaits them at a performances.
Vibrant Results
The pieces included Latin work from the choir’s trip to Cuba, a collaboration with a local Korean choir, and the Berlioz Requiem about the French Revolution. In addition, there were two Christmas programs: one for adults and one that was appropriate for families. The versatility of our design allowed BCCS to appeal to the many different audiences it hoped to reach.
